Do you have a story?  

It's not always easy to know whether your own experiences make a good story or not, or whether it is the sort of thing magazines and newspapers would be prepared to pay for. In truth, the possibilities are endless.

Why not outline your story using our story submission form to the right. And, to give you a quick idea, many of the stories that feature in newspapers and magazines fit into the categories below.

Caught up in the news

Have you suddenly found yourself in the middle of the stories making the headlines? Are you a relative of someone who is in the news at the moment? Or perhaps current changes in the law affect you?

Michelle Brady (above) wanted to let Tony Blair know she blamed him for the death of her brother on July 7th.

Name and shame

Is there individual or organization you would like to name and shame? Is your ex boyfriend a love rat? Do you want to humiliate a cheating partner? Or do you want the world to know how an offical body let you down?

Julia Cura (above) wanted to talk about her fight for justice for her husband Peter after doctors failed to spot his cancer an astonishing 37 times.  

Cosmetic surgery

Have you spent thousands on changing your looks? Did you have surgery to look like a celebrity? Do you regret having cosmetic surgery? Do you want to show off your new body in a glossy magazine?

Kelly Hodges' (above) tummy tuck went drastically wrong. She developed a terrible infection as a result of an incompetent surgeon, and nearly lost her life.  

Celebrity secrets

Do you know a secret about a celebrity? Have you had an affair with someone in the public eye? Do you want to kiss and tell?

Caroline Bew (above) was the former mistress of politician Piers Merchant. She wanted to talk after she discovered Merchant had falsified documents to dupe her into believing he was divorced.

Paying tribute

Perhaps you just want to talk about someone close to you who has died.

Addictions

Have you experienced an addiction to drugs, drink or sex? Have you recovered from an addiction and now want to help others?

Triumph over tragedy

Have you overcome an illness or a disability, and turned your life around for the better? Maybe you've lost a loved one, and gone on to set up a charity in their name? Or perhaps you've turned a campaigner following a tragedy? 

Welly O'Brien (above) became a professional dancer after losing a leg in an accident.

Are you an author, a researcher or an inventor?

If so, is your novel based on a real life experience? Or have you invented something that could change the way we live?

Robert Graham's (above) novel Holy Joe was based on the emotions he felt when his first daughter was stillborn.

Your health

Have you survived a life threatening illness, undergone a brand new, controversial or alternative treatment, or found a miracle cure? Have you overcome infertility, or spent thousands on fertility treatment?

Peter Herbison (above) was one of a handful of men to discover he had breast cancer.

Crime

Have you been a victim of a horrendous crime? Or have you solved a crime?

After her sister Sally-Anne Bowman was murdered, Danielle Chiddy (above) wanted to speak out. A sustained campaign of publicity by the Bowman family helped keep the case in the public eye until Sally-Anne's murderer was finally caught.
